Until 2017 the Energy Absorbing Bollard (EAB) has also been called Omni-Stop Bollard by a previous licensee. In 2017 the licence agreement with the previous distributor expired and the Omni-Stop Bollard has been renamed the EAB - Energy Absorbing Bollard.
Beware of imitations
Energy Absorbing Bollards (EAB) is the only impact absorbing bollard currently approved by Australian Road Authorities.
Purchasing EABs from "copycats" increases the risk of purchasing an inferior product that might not be able to stop an out-of-control vehicle and seriously or fatally injure the vehicle occupants and pedestrians.
